Welcome to Ennis Caravans! |
|
Ennis Caravans was initially started by our Grandfather ‘Thornield Ennis’ just after the Second World War when he started hiring caravans to the colliers coming in to sink the shafts for local coal mines. He then started selling both the bigger ‘statics’ and ‘tourers’ as they were known then.
‘Thorny’ as he was called, had five sons who all started helping out in the repairing, servicing and transport of caravans, even serving petrol in the forecourt!
So where do Chris and Shaun come into the equation… well, brought up with caravans in their blood, they worked in the workshop for their fathers until the mid 80’s when the old company couldn’t shrink fast enough to make it through a difficult time in the caravanning industry.
So, Chris and Shaun, who are the 3rd generation and very knowledgeable about caravans and the caravanning industry, set the company up again. Their aim was and still is to keep the Ennis tradition alive by being fair and offering ‘value for money’ with quality products and an excellent back-up service. More importantly, treating customers how they would like to be treated and with the respect they deserve.
